What inspired you to start your own blog?

The blog is a way to connect with the world through a few clicks. I wouldn’t say I was inspired about a specific event or person. It was rather the wish to share my views on a certain topic, fashion, with a broad audience.

How important is the name of the blog?

Very! The name of the blog is your brand! People will recognize you through it. Whether you run your blog as a hobby or business, it is crucial to have a catchy name.

How difficult is it to find a blog niche?

Finding the blog niche isn’t difficult. What is tricky is how you position yourself toward a blog niche. You might target tech-savvy girls between 18-24 years old, but share content about menswear. How are you going to reach them out? Thus, finding the audience you want to have is not as tricky as how getting them to read/follow you.

What is the best way to promote and grow your blog?

Reach out. The web is humongous. In order to get people to know about your blog, you have to create visibility and awareness. Engagement will then come along.

What is your main audience and how did you reach out to them?

My main audience is women from 18 to 34 years old from all around the world. I reach them through sharing targeted content, listen and engaging with them.

How important is it for your business to attend fashion week?

Attending fashion week is an opportunity to create an international network. You meet a lot of people (brands or press). It creates visibility and awareness. Furthermore, it is a great experience to share with your audience! They like to see what is up during fashion week, what events and shows you attend, who you are staying with.

What are the best tips for building long-term relationships and partnerships with brands?

Quality over quantity! I have always put in a lot of effort to create exclusive content with high definition pictures and a well-written content. Put in forward the brand YOUR way. It’s also about a win-win partnership. What are they going to get in return from working with you on a long term? And, also, what are you going to get in return? Usually, you connect with brands you like and vice versa.

What is the biggest challenge about running a blog?

Time management. Blogging is time-consuming. You show the glamorous part of running a blog, but there is also the tough part: marketing, community managment, accounting, creating content, etc. A blog is like a start-up, you have to take care of everything.

What advice would you give to anyone looking to start a blog today?

Blogging is 24/7 non-stop business. The business side is important, but liking what you do is even more. Try to be authentic. Be unique! Easier said than done – there are so many bloggers already. So you should ask yourself what added value you will share with your audience, and how your content can be genuine.
