KARLIE KLOSS X WARBY PARKER

In a previous post on my habits during my annual summer vacation, I was blabbing incessantly about the makeover my wardrobe calls around this time of every year. My acute awareness of the considerable amount of money I spend on new purchases every summer suggests that I always wear them to death – not necessarily only over the summer. That is the case for most of the sunglasses I have bought. Though, admittedly, most of them are an impulse buy as a memory of each summer that goes by, I tend to stick to them all year round. This summer, however, my quest for the right pair of sunglasses took a little longer – blame it on the lack of time, blame it on the lack of inspiration. Until Brian from Warby Parker dropped us an email, introducing their designed in partnership with Victoria’s Secret supermodel Karlie Kloss, which launched a couple of weeks ago.

The collection features three styles that are highly versatile and can easily blend into any wardrobe. The frames are simple, and their shape is clean, timeless with an ostensible retro twist; the colors range from hues of brown and blue to green and purple.

Warby Parker is the go-to destination for those who seek sophisticated designer eyewear in affordable prices. Sported by celebrities and adored by bloggers worldwide, Warby Parker is much more than a typical eyewear company; in partnership with non-profits like VisionSpring, the brand guarantees that for every pair of glasses sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need, while it avidly promotes sustainability, as one of the only carbon-neutral eyewear brands in the world.

In honor of their collaboration with Karlie Kloss, the company is donating to Edible Schoolyard NYC, a non-profit organization dear to Karlie that works with low-income New York City public schools to build kitchens and gardens, and encourage lifelong healthy habits. The donation will benefit two community farm stands in Brooklyn and East Harlem, where kids learn about food preparation in their own neighborhoods. And as always, for every pair sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need.

After picking one style that best suit our style and personality (the chic-yet-sassy for me and the sophisticated-yet-girly for Nadia), we decided to play our favorite game; a virtual dress up starring the Karlie Kloss x Warby Parker sunglasses!
