PLUSTHIRTYNINE A/W 2015

For the A/W 2015 season, plusthirtynine takes inspiration from Malevich and The Russian Revolution, creating a dynamic and playful collection. The designer researched through old advertising poster to steal perspective point of views in order to create a tri-dimensional print. Obsessively and self-congratulatory the word “plusthirtynine” is typographically repeated in a sea of letters and numbers with waves of colours and nuances.
A soft blend of burnt-brown silk/cashmere tweed and baby blue vinyl create semi tailored suits with reminiscence of workwear uniform. Sportwear allure is given to the brown cotton flower lace capsule with stripes and numbers capturing the sense of athletic perfectionism. The crescendo culminates in pleats of printed twill and geometric layers of vinyl creating a sophisticated and structured silhouette.
